ANGELSACE is a world that exists outside of our own...

Every universe, every species has known its own version of a wager. Some souls crave this gamble, this balance of risk and reward. Those who dedicate their lives to this chase are called Gamblers.

The world of AngelsAce is a purgatory for such Gamblers, belonging neither to heaven nor hell. To pass through to the other side, these Gamblers must become Card Captors. Card Captors challenge one another, wagering Chips, the currency that governs all within AngelsAce.

Card Captors who run out of Chips are placed upon the Sacrificial Altar. There, the true essence of their soul is separated from their body and sealed into a single card. This process defines the nature and abilities of every card used in battle here.

It is unknown how many Chips must be earned to leave this place… Players who may have come close to the required amount often choose instead to live out a life of depraved luxury here, fearing what heaven or hell may lie beyond.
