Voyager Lore

Voyagers are not saviors or judges but observers, ancient beyond measure. 

When a species reaches its final days, they journey out on a Vigil; a three-day trip from the deepest ocean trenches to the surface of this planet. 

On that third day, when they break the surface, they do not speak, they do not act; they simply watch the last moments of a species unfold; the fear, the wonder, the final breaths of a collective mind. 

They observe the raw essence of these final moments. That essence is folded into their forms and carried back down to the abyss, added to an archive that spans eons.

Their current mission: to witness the end of the human story, to hold it carefully, and then descend once more.
